A dashboard and someone who acts on it
Both look at the same numbers. The difference is who draws the conclusions.
Metricool in a sentence
A social media analytics and management tool. Analytics across your channels, tracking for up to a hundred competitors, reports in PDF and PowerPoint, scheduling, and an AI assistant that writes options from the keywords you give it. The free plan is genuinely usable.
Bobbi in a sentence
A social media employee. Bobbi reads your website, your photos and your past posts, plans the week, writes the posts in your voice and publishes after your approval. It also tracks how those posts performed and uses the results to plan the following week.
A report tells you what happened, Bobbi acts on it next time
Metricool is clearly the broader tool for measurement. It gathers the numbers from all your channels into one view, tracks your competitors and packages it into a report you can send onward. If someone asks you monthly how social media is going, Metricool answers that better than anything else in this comparison, and Bobbi does not try to compete there.
A dashboard also hands you homework, though. The numbers tell you what worked, but you decide what to do about it and write the next posts accordingly. In Bobbi that step is built in: every published post is scored against your account average, and once enough posts are scored, topics that did well get more room and weaker ones are approached from another angle. The effect shows in the plans that follow. Bobbi is deliberately cautious here and changes nothing until there is enough data, so a new account is not thrown off by one lucky post.
The third difference is what the limits actually cap. Metricool's credits cap AI use rather than publishing: five a month per brand on the free plan and twenty on Starter, and every attempt spends one. Bobbi's limits cap posts: two a week on Mini and seven a week per channel on Pro, with one or three regenerations a month. Both have a ceiling, then, but they measure different things, and you know where Bobbi's sits before you start.

Bobbi vs Metricool, asked and answered
Does Bobbi measure results at all?
It does. Bobbi pulls your Instagram numbers and shows them in its own view: followers, reach, engagement rate, reach per post and profile visits. What matters more is what the numbers are used for. Every published post is scored against your account's average, and once enough posts have been scored, topics that performed well get more room in the plans that follow and weaker ones are approached from a new angle. So you do not have to read a dashboard for the numbers to affect your posts. What Bobbi does not have is competitor tracking or report templates, and Metricool is stronger there.
Metricool has a free plan. Why would I pay for Bobbi?
Metricool's free plan is genuinely good if you want to see numbers: one brand, thirty days of analytics history, five competitors to track and twenty scheduled posts a month. Notice what is not included, though: those twenty posts still have to be written by you, and there are five AI credits a month. A free measuring tool will tell you precisely how quiet your account is. Bobbi costs money because it writes those posts for you.
Is Metricool's AI enough to make the posts?
It will write an individual caption once you give it the topic and the keywords. For a weekly rhythm it falls short for two reasons. Credits run to five a month per brand on the free plan and twenty on Starter, which will not cover several posts a week, and the writing rests on what you can describe yourself, because the style instructions are typed into the settings by hand. Bobbi plans the topics itself and writes in a voice learned from your past posts. You can also tell Bobbi about an upcoming event or campaign yourself, and it writes that post with the same background.
